Professor Qingguo Wang is a faculty member in the College of Food Science and Engineering, Shandong Agricultural University, China. He conducts research and education on postharvest physiology, quality maintenance, and handling of fruits and vegetables. His research on fresh-cut vegetables mainly focus on prevention of browning and related mechanisms. Professor Wang has organized 27 National Postharvest Workshops and more than 80 regional training workshops.

Professor Wang also contributes to other national and international postharvest educational events and conferences. He is a member of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and Postharvest Branch of Chinese Society for Horticultural Science,  and the chairman of fresh-cut produce working group of ISHS.

Conference organization is provided by the Postharvest Science & Technology Group of Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU). The Postharvest Science & Technology Group of SDAU is focusing on quality and safety of fresh horticultural produce. The Group offers technical service and regional training workshops for postharvest handlers, processors and retailers.
